Sooo.. I’m gonna write about the party. Note: we are not drunken munkees. Haha, it’s just one of those nights where you wanna let your hair down and everything falls into place. We used the spare house beside mine where no one is living, practically almost a stock-house.
It was definitely great. After I wrote this post, friends started arriving, some didn’t arrive until 8-9PM because of the traffic and the fact that my house is pretty much kind of outside Jakarta already. I was so touched they all came that far, considering I always go that far for them, so I guess good things DO happen to good people sometimes, and my karma was just right for the weekend. Based on what my friends say, it was a great party (I mean hello? Who’s the host :P). Let’s just say the booze definitely “crunked” up the night. Amidst the karaoke session set up on a big projector to the wall outside my house, shots and toasts of tequila (my personal favorite) and vodka were being done. About more than a dozen friends came and needless to say, the bottles emptied pretty much very quickly. So back-up came. I can’t believe my parents actually bought me one big box full of cans of beers, so there was that. They boys were all icky and sweaty because they played basketball after dinner at the court, and we all ran around.
We didn’t get THAT drunk, but the booze affected enough to make us go wackier than usual. True colors started to come out, they were all rowdy, faces became red and the alcohol allergies started to show. There was a point where I couldn’t stop laughing, and 6 mouths occupied one karaoke microphone, singing Seal’s Kiss From A Rose and pretended to be the best acapella group on earth. Everything was informal, there were no pretentions, it was the usual wacky, crazy, side of us + the alcohol kicking in. It was definitely a night of craziness, all toasted for my special day. It quieted down sometime a little after midnight, but the bff slept over, and we pretty much waited til we got completely sober before falling asleep, which was around 4. We didn’t want to get puffy eyes in the morning. Saturday night, there was another party with overflowing booze, this time, my Dad’s but let’s just not get into that. Teehee.

yay for parties! and getting drunk. and getting wack. and crazy. and just having fun! yay!! =] i miss throwing parties, cuz when i do, it usually becomes the ‘talk’ of everyone for the longest time! seems like u all had fun, which is really good! normal people get better in singing when they’re drunk… not because their voice change, but people around them are drunk too they couldn’t care less if you’re outta tune. hahaha.

I hate when people getting that drunk so they couldn’t think clear anymore so I like it most if you drink a bit but don’t drink too much (;

Nina: Yeah it became the ‘talk’ after that, especially because there were some other ‘factors’ involved haha.
Isi: Yup we didn’t get too wasted, which was actually better.

Yey, looks like you had lot of fun.
Karaoke — even in wakes, you can find them! Really. They should be mourning over their dead and there they were, singing their hearts out in front of a karaoke.

Ah, I need to go to one of those parties soon. I’ve been working like crazy for the last 3 weeks on project deadlines… I need a break!
Alright, but I’m not into karaoke… or linedancing… or Jollibee (I went to one in the US once). I guess, being raised in Canada.. I’m not Filipino enough.
