Oh Busy
Posted on July 31st, 2007. Filed under: Daily. My parents think, and know that when I’m at home, the computer + the internet is my number one vice. I’ve made agreements with them, that my face isn’t gonna be in front of the screen 24/7 now that classes have officially started. I know it’s time for some serious business, and I have to pull through with everything, even now with my Consumer Behavior class coming into picture. I don’t wanna waste away the 2 more years I have left. Not that my schedule’s hectic or anything, it’s the laze factor which I’m scared of. Take everyday slowly, study bits and pieces, prepare for what’s to come and embrace it with readiness. I’m also going to avoid being too confident with my work because it’s going to crush me if the evaluation I get isn’t what I expect and that’s going to leave me with no more inspiration.
Another lagging factor too, procrastination. I should be able to deal with it. I remember I read this quote saying something like, “Why procrastinate now, when you can procrastinate later?” Something like that. Basically it’s gonna be “Procrastinate procrastination” and remember the words of Brandon Boyd, “Remember when you procrastinate you choose last”. That’s my biggest enemy you see, and I’m going to tackle every bit of it now that the semester’s here.
On a lighter and happier note, I’ll be going to the beautiful island of Bali in two weeks time. My mom told me I’ve got my plane ticket already, and if it pushes through, I’m gonna have me some fun before putting my head hard into the world of academics and university whatnots. If I don’t get to go, I’m gonna be bummed but there’ll be next time anyway. If I do get to go, I’ll be sure to blog about it.
I’m not going to apologize for my lack of ‘bloggage’ and ‘commentage’ because it’s my schedule and parental agreement to blame. Kidding. I’m sorry If I don’t blog much these days (in which I’m sure I’m going to do soon, even if it means doing it in campus), but I’ll try to do it as much as I can. Weeee. Have a nice week everybody!

Consumer Behavior class… I bet it’s gonna kick royal ass! Eew, that rhymes! LAWL!
Procrastinate procrastination… How I love the bloody irony! You go, you!
And ZOMG, you’re gonna hit the beaches of Bali? *turns into a green-eyed monster*

I remember making a deal like that with my parents my 2nd year of hs in exchange for a pair of Chucks.
I wasn’t allowed to go online at home for 3 months (so I went online at school instead, lol).
But anyways, good luck with your academic plans. Tell me if it works out so I can pester you for anti-procrastination tips.

On a side note, I was supposed to ask where that Brandon Boyd quote came from ’cause I don’t remember reading it from his book or from interviews, until I realized it’s a line from A Certain Shade of Green. Haa, nice one.
Also, that’s awesome about Bali. Even though I’m not a big fan, yay beach! :P

My mom ALWAYS makes me promise to limit my computer use in exchange for something (like more money). I never agree. I can’t fool myseeeelf!
I’ve got a big problem on procrastination too. Erh.

My parents let me surf and play all I want during summers, ‘coz they know that I’ll curb my desire to explore the world wide web during school time. However…. I still procrastinate! LOL!

My parents cannot stop me from surfing the web 24/7 because they know it’s my life. Hehe even though I have a lot of time in my hands to do my work, I always end up starting in the very last minute because of internet…. oh well.

Good luck at school, I hope everything will go well. I hope you get to go to Bali - have fun! I understand that you need to spend lots of time on school work, but hopefully you’ll get some time to relax and use the internet, as well!

School is always top priority, so I understand your - and your parents’ - reasons for starting this agreement. My parents know better than to limit my computer usage since basically 90% of my schoolwork requires the use of a computer. Little do they know that only 30% of my computer time is used on school. The other 70% is spent on blogging and graphic design. =P
Everyone procrastinates. It’s a normal occurrence among students. It’s an unstoppable epidemic.
I hope the trip to Bali pushes through and that you have fun.
Later.

That is a wise decision and of course school is the top priority for now since once your done with it you just have to work and party at the same time.
I am kindof of disciplined to do my schoolwork first before having some fun even though I dont have parents here who nags around if I dont do anything.

Bali! Oh how I envy you!
It’s okay if you’re too busy to drop by… *sniff* *sniff* …We understand.
Hahaha kidding.
Good to see that you’re trying to get your priorities straightened out.

Whenever somebody mentions Bali, I usually let my mind wander and imagine I was there… Haaaay….
Consumer Behavior! Not at all that hard! After all, you are a consumer, so you basically know how a consumer would typically behave.

Oh man, I wish I can go to Bali too! I can’t stand the desert anymore. :P

Hmm.. I don’t like beaches that much. Anyway, who cares? Haha. Happy trip to Bali.
I think everybody’s busy. Or it’s just me? LOL.

Well, Juice, good luck with the plans. Really. I mean, with the laze factor, that’s kinda hard to fight. And procrastination, since those two kicks in every once in a while.
Bali? Baliiiiiii?! Can’t I be effing rich and go there too? LOL.

I can’t let a day pass without surfing the net. It’s the only thing that keeps me sane nowadays. So yeah, no matter how hectic my day is.. I still find time to go online. The result? Procrastination. Haha! And laziness. Hay.
My comment is all over the place.
Good luck with your studies.. and Bali? OMG! :P

Gah, I had a phase when I was obsessed with the internet! It was the days where i-frames were all the rage and I had some on my website, lol. I’m still very up-to-date with the internet and all its happenings right now, but just not as obsessed. I seem to have developed more of a life than when I was in grade 7, lol.
