Deconstructed Admin Theme

Posted on January 25th, 2008. Filed under: Online & Tech.

I’m blogging from my deconstructed Wordpress admin theme right now, in which I’m gonna show in a jiffy. As soon as I saw the blog post, I knew I had to try it. It’s simple, it’s customizable and it makes you concentrate more than looking at the ugly admin theme. I’ve been using the Spotmilk admin theme before this and I absolutely loved it until now.

Here are some screenshots that I did. I modified the colors a little to make it look like a nice candyland (or to match my blog & lomoblog more like it). Images are supported by lightbox so just click on them.

You can play with the colors just like I did. It looks so nice and clean, so I thought I’d share it with you guys! If you like tinkering with CSS stuff and hate the current Wordpress admin theme then this would be something nice to do. Have fun customizing!

I also remodified my WP theme a few months back and it doesn’t look like I’ll be changing to a new one (and a cleaner one for the matter) anytime soon. The one I got is the blue one, I dunno what it’s called, basta blue sya.. I was curious that time if what would a remodified WP site would look like and voila, everything’s blue! =))

Oooh, that looks so pretty and clean! Ahaha, funny though, when I was looking at the screenshots I couldn’t help but look for the blue-ness of the WP Admin. Shall give it a try after me midterms :D

I’ve been playing around with an Alpha demo of the yet unreleased WordPress 2.5… on a demo site one of the WordPress devs put up.

It’s looks clean and very Web 2.0, but I’m not impressed with the Post screen. They put all these function tabs that used to appear on the right side, but now they’re at the bottom of the post area… which means more scrolling. It’s annoying! I hope they change it.
