Apparently My Dog Is Overweight

I got home from class today to find my doggie woggie Sushi limping around the house and only walking with her three legs, her front left leg hanging. Major “aww” moment for me right? I couldn’t stand seeing her like that. My maid said she’d been chasing rats or whatever, and from what I know and notice, there aren’t even any rats in the house. You see, my dog’s a smart dog. My maids don’t want to keep her inside the house because every time she wants to take a dump, she does it in the toilet floor (that’s where she was trained) and the maids are too lazy to clean it up, so they keep her outside the maid’s quarter.
I admit, I’ve been quite the bad master lately and not really paying attention to her. In between my mom’s sickness, schoolwork and other stuff, maybe she’s just been feeling neglected by me and eating to drown her miseries. Poor Sushi…
So! After that limp story, my maid brought her to the vet to get checked up on and the vet says that she’s overweight! Her ideal weight is supposed to be around 2.5kg-3kg at the max but right now she’s around 5kg which is almost double her weight. Oh no. The reason why she’s been limping is that her legs can’t take her body mass so it’s getting cramped and it’s hard for her to walk. Uh-oh. Time for a dog diet, no more carbs. Srsly, no more rice. Strictly dog food!

My aunt’s cat is so obese that the poor thing can hardly walk. It need a kitty diet, too.

a better way of putting it: Sushi, no more rice for you because kids in the Phils are hungreh, you bastard of a spoiled doggie. jk. i kno exactly how some people can get riled up when you pick on their dogs

Oh nooooooooo!! I wouldn’t have guessed she was overweight. I wonder if I should have my cat checked out because everyone says she’s a big cat but she can still run very fast and moves fierce like the speed of lightening. How are you going to make her lose weight?

First of all, she isn’t gonna be in her dogpen anymore because that’s gonna limit her movements and stuff and for the past 3 nights we’ve been taking walks and also help me prep for my running (yay!). And only dog food now, because lately we’ve been giving her rice hehe.

I too wouldn’t have guessed Sushi was overweight.
but you know sometimes those weight ratios or something are kinda absurd. Even if you look really fit, doctors will still say you’re overweight for your height (or something like that)
