One Movie, Not So Much
Posted on May 24th, 2008. Filed under: Meme, TV & Movies. This is a self-tagged post, meaning I was asked to be tagged because I just liked this meme so much. One thing which bothers me though, is the fact that the questions ask “one movie” all through out. Well I’m gonna be damned if I only mention one movie, so bring on the flicks! Thanks to Jigs for this.
1. One movie that made you laugh
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. That was pure stoner comedy at its finest, I still laugh at it until now! The latest movie I also watched, Why Did I Get Married? by Tyler Perry, that was great.
2. One movie that made you cry
Usually all the movies that I watch make me cry. Seriously! I’m that much of a sap. The one movie I clearly remember which made me really cry like hell (despite the fact that it was a comedy) was Click. I didn’t expect the waterworks at all. Also, Into The Wild. What a masterpiece.
3. One movie you loved when you were a child
All Disney movies, specifically Pocahontas. She was my role model. Also, all the Home Alone series and 101 Dalmatians. I got into phases because of these movies!
4. One movie you’ve seen more than once
When Harry Met Sally. Only God knows how many times I’ve seen that movie. Also: Garden State, Harold & Kumar and of course, Bring It On!
5. One movie you loved, but embarrassed to admit it.
All the dance movies & the Bring It On franchise. Coz usually their stories don’t have much into it, but the dancing always mesmerize me. Step Up, Step Up 2 the Streets, Honey, Bring It On 1 2 3 4, You Got Served, Take The Lead, Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights. The only exceptions are probably Save The Last Dance & Center Stage. Those were pretty great movies in terms of the substance.
6. One movie you hated
28 Days Later. You can murder me right now but that movie was fucking pointless.
7. One movie that scared you
The Eye (Asian version of course)!! I couldn’t sleep for a month.
8. One movie that bored you
Ocean’s 13 kind of bored me. What a waste, since Ocean’s 11 is one of my favorites.
9. One movie that made you happy
Pulp Fiction or anything Quentin Tarantino does. When Harry Met Sally always makes me happy. Romantic comedies make me happy! Yay.
10. One movie that made you miserable
I’ll tell you one movie which made me miserable despite the fact that it’s one of my favorite movies OF ALL TIME. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I loved it so much it made me miserable.
11. One movie you weren’t brave enough to see
Fast Food Nation & An Inconvenient Truth. Documentaries freak the hell out of me.
12. One movie character you’ve fallen in love with
Any character Emile Hirsch, Paul Rudd and Shia LaBeouf does. I love them.
13. The last movie you saw
This Is England. For the complete list of movies I’ve seen this year, you can head here.
14. The next movie you hope to see
Hopefully Indiana Jones, Eagle Eye by Shia & Twilight (!!!) later this year and Sex and the City. Wheee.

It was a very interesting meme to read. So many movies… I haven’t heard of most of these.
Can I copy it?

Twilights looks like a good film and Quentin Tarantino is a god. =P

The Hollywood Ring remake scared the wits outta me for weeks. I kno it’s stupid, but for some reason, American “horror” (read: blood, gore, butchery) scares me more than Asian types (background music, complex story lines, the intelligent stuff, you get the drill)

2: Lots of people I know totally cried their eyes out at the end of the movie, CLICK. Juice, you are such a sap! LoL! j/k!
4: Ooooh! Garden State! Loves it!
6: LOLZ! i loved this movie!
9: Tarantino always makes me happy…
10: i SO get what you mean!
11: I’ve seen both documentaries. You’re not gonna like them. hehe!
12: The lead character in Twilight played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter. I’m just saying cause I didn’t recognize his face.
I love how movies create a whole conversation piece for us and reveal our personalities! It’s great that you did this meme!

Wow. And I thought I was the only wuss who fell for the scary shit they used at those Asian horror movies. I won’t even dare myself watch The Eye because Shutter and The Grudge sure definitely scared me to the point I had sleepless nights cause of those movies.
Quentin Tarantino is a great director! I loved Kill Bill. I’ve yet to watch Pulp Fiction cause I have limited time na.. try mo rin si Stanley Kubrick minsan, weird movies pero I like them.

Almost every single movie that I have seen has made me cry too! There’s always at least one scene that makes me reach out for a Kleenex. :P

It’s been a while since I have posted a comment in your blog. Eh, I rarely check my blog and my friends list.
I thought I was the only one who cried while watching Click. I couldn’t even admit that I cried while watching that.
Into the Wild is touching and very sentimental too. I kind of cried in the end there.
I think almost everyone grew up with and loved Disney movies. We’re total saps for movies like those.
Why? Why did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind make you feel miserable? In what way?
Can I use this tag? Please so I can finally post again in my blog :D.

We feel the same way towards “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind.” It’s somehow this depressing, misery-filled film that’s really screwed up that it ends up screwing my mind. Heh.
The movie that made me cry is actually VIOLENT (in nature) and not that much of a drama. LOL. :P
I wanna tag myself too!
HAHA.

1. My Sassy Girl. Yeah, rock on!
2. Mga Munting Tinig, The Last Samurai (sheesh, I think am gonna cry again)
3. Yeah! Home Alone! and… and… Hook!
4. Everything about jagged tools used for cutting wood. Yeah, Saw-ish. (pfft)
5. Err… um… I don’t wanna admit I’m hooked to *i*h S**o*l **s**al. Yeah, blah blah blah…
6. Super Mario Bros. And oh, can I just include Talamasca’s American horror flick stereotypes?
7. Silent Hill. Am a true blue Silent Hill gamer. And oh, The Shutter also freaked me out with their excessive use of sounds.
8. The movie was so booring, I already forgot its title.
9. Any Korean movie will do. And Charlotte’s Web. I dunno… I instantly became a fan.
10. Mga Munting Tinig. So hard-hitting, yet mild. Made my life a lot miserable.
11. Just seeing blood spilling out on trailers, movie posters, and DVD covers piss the hell out of my arsenal.
12. Awe… um… I’m a sucker at romantic comedies so I can’t choose one.
13. Transformers. After 48 years. AYLAVHEET!
14. PLONING! SHYET! HOW I WISH I CAN BRING BACK THE TIME WHERE I STILL HAVE MONEY TO WATCH PLONING! AARRRGH!!! PLONING! (A Judy Ann Santos movie, it is)

arrrrr, you mentioned my current obsession, Shia. Do tell me if that Indiana Jones is worth it. Heard the plot was pants though.
